I was born, raised and live in Los Angeles where I write novels (YA, women's commercial and mainstream fiction), shorts and essays.

I've written for several defunct magazines and web sites and did time in San Francisco during the dot.com frenzy. My degree in journalism, with concentration magazine writing, gave me a good base on which to build my fiction efforts. I learned to keep my writing focused on what's important and to leave my ego out of it as much as possible. With a few novels completed, I find writing fiction easier since I only have to deal with imaginary people and I can make them do and say whatever I want without fear of misquoting them.
